Our Music Festival

The Broke Fordwich region of the Hunter Valley has been producing wines since 1830

Now with the added interest of first class restaurants and accommodation as well as boutique and gourmet outlets the region offers the visitor a relaxed and fulfilling time

Folk in Broke now adds wonderful music and entertainment to that experience

The best place to bring all that together in one venue is the famous NIGHTINGALE VINEYARD

Award winning wines, accommodation and food makes this venue the appropriate place to add spectacular music and entertainment

Paul & Gail Nightingale have been involved in working with the community at all levels and have been generous sponsors of many community based activities

The vineyard managers, Terry and Joan have had a long association with musical performance - Terry is an accomplished keyboard player and over the years has performed in concerts, festivals and many elite functions.  He will be enjoying his behind the scenes  role this year and will no doubt be joining in on some of the many jam sessions that occur throughout a festival such as Folk in Broke

There’s lots of opportunities for visitors to participate in this year’s festival so come prepared to join in.

Whether it’s dancing along with Sambafrog or playing along in one of the open jam sessions, there’s something for everyone and at any level.

Check out our great W
orkshop Program & Masterclasses where you can learn to play an instrument if you’re a beginner or learn some new tips if you’re an experienced player.

There’s workshops for singers and for songwriters too.

If you’re keen to perform, we’ve got a blackboard concert on Sunday morning - put your name on the blackboard at the festival café for a spot.

And if you enjoy simply sitting back and taking it all in, then you’ll appreciate the spaces allocated for doing just that.   We’ve got some great food coming in to tempt your taste buds, a festival bar to quench the thirstiest throats, and all the fun of the market stalls too.

Friday Night opening event - 'Dinner Cabaret’
